Canada

The main source of statistical data in Canada is the Federal Government, and in particular Statistics Canada. Statistics Canada publishes the "whole range of statistics on the economic and social activities of the Canadian people" on a daily, weekly, quarterly, annual, or irregular basis. Statistics Canada also publishes the Census of Canada at five year intervals. At the Robertson Library, most Statistics Canada publications are located in the Government Documents area on the Main Level and arranged by the Statistics Canada number. Exceptions include the Census publications which are available at the end of the Statistics Canada section in the Government Documents area, and those publications which are available on CD-ROM or through the World Wide Web.
