SAGE Research Methods Video: Practical Research and Academic Skills

This collection of over 450 streaming videos on the SAGE Research Methods platform offers support on the practical skills that you need to successfully complete your research. Key areas such as writing a research proposal, planning and designing a research project, and securing ethical approval are explicitly covered. Practical skills such as project management, writing for publication, presenting work, and building networks are also presented through helpful explanatory videos.

Docuseek

Docuseek is a streaming video platform.

UPEI does not have a site license, but can obtain annual licenses for specific videos upon request of faculty who need them for a specific course.

Faculty should contact their subject librarian to arrange access to a video if not previously licensed within the last year.

American Indian History Collection

Covers more than 600 Native American groups, through videos and slideshows, images, biographies of key people, event and topic entries, primary sources, maps and graphs, and timelines.

Human Kinetics Library

Featuring more than 160 ebooks and a range of videos, the Human Kinetics Library is a comprehensive digital platform dedicated to the research, teaching, and understanding of the kinesiology and exercise science disciplines. The Library's subscription includes the Core Collection

Criterion-on-Demand is a streaming video collection which represents a large number of feature film producers, including: 20th Century Fox, Paramount Pictures, DreamWorks, Mongrel Media, Sony Pictures, Alliance Films, Miramax Films, Warner Brothers, Lionsgate Films, as well as a smaller number of independent producers. Our title selection includes classics, new releases, foreign films, literary adaptations, documentaries, animated titles, and independent features.

A collection of 100 videos relating to clinical psychology practice, selected by the UPEI Clinical Psychology faculty and psychology librarian from the larger set available on that platform.

The list of specific videos changes annually on April 1 based on usage and requests.
