RefWorks now supports APA 7th Edition

RefWorks has now released its support of APA 7th Edition, which was published in October.

Update December 17, 2019: DOIs should have ONLY the DOI itself in the data field - the style will add the https://doi.org/ for you. It won't strip out anything so you need to remove it if you've added it.

Also it will not adjust title case for you so you need to do this yourself in your citation records.

This is the equivalent of the "APA 6th (No title casing applied)" option - RefWorks does not currently plan to offer a 7th edition style that adjusts title casing.

Movie Talks @ Robertson Library: The Staging Post

Movie Talks @ Robertson Library: The Staging Post

Robertson Library, WUSC UPEI, and the Rotaract Club of UPEI invite you to attend a screening of the documentary The Staging Post.

The film follows Afghan Hazara refugees, Muzafar, Khadim and Tahira. Stranded in Indonesia after Australia 'stopped the boats' and facing many years in limbo, they build a community and start a school which inspires a refugee education revolution. (Kanopy, 2017)

The Staging Post was produced and directed by Australian documentary filmmaker Jolyon Hoff.

The purpose of the film will be to raise money for the Shine A Light Program, an initiative that provides women and girls within refugee camps the opportunity to better their education prospects.

Admission is free, but there will be donations accepted at the door.  Any amount can make a difference in someone's life.

Wednesday, November 20th

Robertson Library, Room 312

Doors open at 5:30 pm

Show starts at 6:00 pm

All are welcome!

Contact Richelle Greathouse, rgreathouse@upei.ca, for further information.

Veterans' Week / Remembrance Day Display

Robertson Library will be open from noon - 10 pm on Remembrance Day, Monday, November 11th.

November the 5th to the 11th is Veterans’ Week, a week to remember and honour the service and sacrifices veterans have made to protect the freedom we have in Canada today.

Every year on Remembrance Day, November 11th, Canadians pause in a minute of silence to remember the men and women who serve or have served our country during times of war, conflict, and peace.

Visit the display in the lobby of the Library for resources that cover topics on the First World War, the Second World War, the Korean War, the War in Afghanistan, and the Canadian Armed Forces. Included in the display are materials on Indigenous Peoples who joined the Canadian Armed Forces and fought in foreign lands.
