Services
- Borrowing and renewing print books and other physical materials. For s summary of information on loan periods, renewals, and fines, visit https://library.upei.ca/circ/policies.
- Laptop Lending Program - The Library has Dell laptops available for borrowing by current UPEI students, faculty and staff. Laptops are available on a first-come, first-served basis at the Service Desk.
- Interlibrary Loan - use this service to obtain material that is not available in our Library. The Library covers ILL costs for graduate students.
- Scan on Demand: Scanned articles and chapters from the Library's print collection - submit requests using the Interlibrary Loan form. The scanned article/chapter will be delivered as a link in an email message, subject to the same conditions as an article/chapter obtained through Interlibrary Loan.
- Other university libraries, visiting and borrowing - a CAAL card from the Robertson Library gives UPEI students, faculty and staff borrowing privileges at other participating university libraries. Please contact the Circulation Desk, 566-0583, or email smerz-wood@upei.ca to find out how you can obtain your CAAL card.

- Research Data Management Services - research data management planning education, planning tool, and data repository.
- Article Processing Charges Discounts - Through the Robertson Library's participation in the Canadian Research Knowledge Network to purchase journal subscriptions, and other deals, faculty, students, and staff are eligible for discounts on Article Processing Charges (APCs) associated with publishing open access (OA) journal articles!
Research Assistance
- Subject Librarians - book an individual consultation with your department's Subject Librarian for an orientation to library services and information resources or assistance with search strategies and using specific databases and other resources.
- Subject guides - instructional guides created by librarians to assist in finding subject specific information available through ther Robertson Library.
Theses
- Thesis printing and binding and guidance on using published articles in your thesis is available at https://library.upei.ca/thesis.
- UPEI theses and dissertations are available from 1989 to the present in IslandScholar
Collections & Search Tools
- Data Liberation Initiative (DLI) - original data from surveys from Statistics Canada
- RefWorks - a web-based citation manager for collecting and storing citations. Also formats citations in Word and Google documents.
- IslandScholar - UPEI's open access repository of publications, including some fulltext theses and masters' projects
