Each scanned article will be delivered as a link in an email message, subject to the same conditions as an article obtained through Interlibrary Loan. A single book chapter from a print book available in the Library may be requested the same way.
  • Search other library catalogues, as well as Voilà (the union catalogue of Libraries and Archives Canada) and WorldCat (an international union catalogue).
  • Borrowing in person from other university libraries - A CAAL card from the Robertson Library gives UPEI faculty, students, and staff borrowing privileges at other participating university libraries throughout Canada.

Information Literacy Instruction

If you plan to give your students library-related assignments or research papers, please contact your Liaison Librarian to arrange for your students to have a library/information research class (on how to develop research strategies, how to develop efficient search techniques, how to find and evaluate web resources, etc.).  Whether you schedule such a class or not, please send a copy of your assignment to your Liaison Librarian so that the Information Desk staff will be prepared to help your students.

Librarians are also available to provide assistance in designing student assignments and to work with you and your department to incorporate information literacy skills into the curriculum.

UPEI's course management system, Moodle, provides a standard block of library resources for your students. Your Liaison Librarian will collaborate with you to ensure that course-specific resources are added.
