Finding Articles: Environmental Studies

The most current research on any academic topic is usually found in journal articles.

Step 1
Use article databases (indexes) to find articles on a particular topic.

Article Databases are available through the Library's website for both on-campus and off-campus access. Off-campus users will be prompted for their UPEI username and password. Note that in addition to providing  article citations, some of the databases include the fulltext of articles.

Use OneSearch to search across a number of databases and publisher websites.  See the library's list of databases for Environmental Studies.

Step 2
Locate the specific articles.

To find the article, you need to determine if the Library has the journal containing the article.

Most of our databases contain a "Check@UPEI" link for each of the search results. In many databases, this is a green and white button:

Use this link to:

  • determine if the article is available online or in a print journal
  • request the article through Interlibrary Loan if the article is not available

Please contact the Library’s Service Desk, 566-0583, or use the Library ASK US chat help for assistance.
