DiscoverGov (United States)

DiscoverGov provides simple, one-stop searching across multiple U.S. Federal Government databases including GPO's Catalog of U.S. Government Publications (CGP) and GovInfo.

It will retrieve reports, articles, and citations while providing direct links to selected resources and publications available online.

By default it searches the CGP which leads mostly to citations to print reports, but you can at the top switch to searching "federal databases" and you can also filter to online resources using the filter list at the left. You may also want to filter by year range as this database goes very far back in American history.

As of December 2024, the tool is a bit buggy. If you have problems, check the Help pages.

Coming in 2025, users will see additional features, help content, and access points to and about DiscoverGov, as well as improved responsiveness of remote search resources.
