Robertson Library Access and Facilities:

See the Campus Map for the location of the Robertson Library building and locations of designated parking areas.

There are automatic doors at the entrances to the Robertson Library building, as well as an automatic door at the entrance to the Library itself.

The Upper Level of the Library is accessible by elevator.

A desk height service counter is provided at the Service Desk.

Guide dogs are allowed in the library.

Washrooms on the Main Level and the Upper Level have a wheelchair accessible cubicle. The washrooms on the Main Level have automatic doors.

A magnifying glass may be borrowed from staff at the Service Desk.

Library Services:

Dells - accessibility features built into the Windows operating system

Macs - accessibility features built into the OS X operating system

Research, reference, or mediated assistance is available from Service Desk staff. This includes conducting or assisting with searches of the Library Catalogue, electronic databases, and print indexes. Library tours can also be arranged. To ensure staff availability, please telephone or email to make advance arrangements (Meghan Landry - 902-566-0479 or Donald Moses - Circulation 902-566-0460).

Library staff will assist students in retrieving materials within a 24 hour response time Monday to Friday. Items requested on the weekend will be provided by 5 p.m. Monday. Please inquire at the Service Desk or telephone 902-566-0583.

Other University Services:

Accessibility Services offers services and support to persons with special needs (including learning disabilities).  They are located in the Webster Centre for Teaching and Learning, Robertson Library Annex, Room 218.  For more information visit their website.
