This course will explore the relationship between physical activity, sedentary behaviour, and chronic disease. Students will be introduced to the to the pathophysiology of prevalent chronic conditions, as well as modifiable and non-modifiable risk factors. The impact of common medications and key considerations for developing safe and effective exercise programs for these populations will also be examined.
