12 Days of Postcards - Day 8!

Today for the 8th day of 12 Days of PEI postcards we feature an Island pipedream that never was. The initial plans for an underwater railway tunnel can be traced back to a former senator, George Howlan, in the late 1800s with the construction of the Prince Edward Island Railway. This plan died out in the early 1900s, but as you can see from the sender of this postcard, they had plans to move to the Island when the tunnel was built.
