Fun Reading at Robertson Library: Fiction and Beyond

Where can you find books to read for fun?

On Display

Pop-Up Pub: popular books from the Provincial Library Service (public library) that you can borrow with your UPEI ID

Indigenous literature: fiction and nonfiction books by Indigenous authors, selected from our Stacks collection

Graphic novels and nonfiction: these books use comics to tell stories and communicate information

In the Stacks

Most fiction, poetry, and drama is shelved in the P section, where it is organized by language and country. Our two biggest sections are PR (British literature in English) and PS (American literature in English). Within those sections, you can also find

PS 8600s — recent Canadian fiction in English
PR 9000s — English-language fiction from other Commonwealth countries, including Caribbean, Nigerian, South African, and Australian literature

Almost all Canadian fiction in English or French has a call number in the PS 8000s.

Ask someone at the library services desk if you’re not sure where these sections are.

If you are looking for nonfiction books, they’ll be with other books on the same subject. Search the catalogue or ask at the desk.

You can also try searching the library catalogue for specific titles or authors, or for

Online / Ebooks
