Here are some recommendations for fun/popular/leisure/ reading resources at Robertson Library:

Pop-Up Pub

  • print books on loan to UPEI from the PEI Provincial Library Service
  • displayed in the main lobby of Robertson Library
  • book selection changes monthly
  • borrow with your UPEI ID card just like a Robertson Library book

Book Nook / Book Sale

  • books donated to the Library but not being added to the collection
  • available for $1 - $2 purchase/donation
  • selection varies and is constantly changing
  • displayed next to the 3d printer, behind the large staircase on the ground floor

Books for young adults with easier reading level for ESL/EAP students:

ORCA publishing books, print and ebook in catalogue

Books with subject "fiction", both print and ebook, in the catalogue

Fiction for children, print and ebook, in the catalogue - various age ranges - some "young adult" is also suitable for university students

Ebooks by subject in EBSCO Ebook Collection (adult fiction is under "Fiction")

Ebooks in Proquest Ebook collection categorized as fiction

Ebooks in the Canadian Electronic Library categorized as fiction (mostly Canadian authors)

  • adjust the "genres" setting along the bottom left to the subject/genres you want
  • adjust "audience" setting, bottom left, to the reading level you want
  • create your own account within DesLibris to use the special reader for iOS or Android devices (now called the DITA Reader in Android Play Store)
