Many articles or other resources are often blocked by a paywall. This means that you are asked to pay to access the article or pay for a subscription to the journal.

As a student at UPEI, you pay a library fee which we used to purchase access to databases that have many journals and articles we think are most useful to the subjects we study here at UPEI.
If you are just searching with Google, you may come across an article that you can’t view without paying. Try searching the article title in full in OneSearch. The pages "I am looking for a specific article" and "How do I access a full article online?" have more information about using OneSearch for this purpose.
If we do not have access, we may be able to get you a copy from another library. Read our page on interlibrary loans to find out how to place a request.
